ROCKET PARK

I have spent the most time on this project that I have ever spent on any music project. I am not sure exactly how much time I spent on this, but it wasnt all in performing the music, a lot of time went into mixing and mastering and 'fixing' mistakes. I believe this has some of my strongest work so far.

Originally the songs were planned to be linked together through a common thread based on a theme park. I gave up on that concept as I mixed remixed and beat myself up on sound quality putting this thing together. Instead there are sound bites as the songs go through, sort of sound poems, but not (hopefully) overwhelming the songs and melodies and etc.

Hardware wise almost all of the guitar parts were played through a Peavey based rack setup that I have used live. It was recorded in stereo through the Behringer DDX3216. This is where it gets complicated. The same 1010 hardware was used but after recording I purchased a Yamaha RM800 mixer that changed the way I think about the whole recording process. I wont go into details other than to say I mixed this music through that and some other new hardware that I bought, and mixed it into the old DAL card and used a couple pieces of software based mastering software to finish it off. The bass was direct in, and the drums are from DKFH2 and some software synths.

I have considered releasing this on CD...but havent yet...ROCKET PARK
